THE CHALLENGE: Hitachi Marketing Manager, Tamara Schoder, admitted giving us a difficult budget to work with on the AnyGIS project. The scope included a CD-ROM of a full-length Flash movie explaining the AnyGIS product linking to the HSGT website, then fitting into a newly developed, heavily branded cd sleeve/brochure. Schoder explains, “they had a lot of work to do in a very limited time frame but we were in a rush to complete everything before an important trade show – a lot was riding on this presentation.”

OUR SOLUTION: “We had more people on this project and suffered some late hours but everything came out pretty much as planned,” remembers David Dodd, Project Manager and New Business Developer at ecollective. “The key was constant communication with Tamara and speeding up the sign-off process. We weren’t worried about completing the work on time. What we were concerned with was the communication back and forth, getting sign-offs and making sure we’re doing exactly what the client asked for. Since we had so little time, we had no room for revisions. The success of this project obviously depended on the quality of the work, but also on the quality of the communication between Tamara and me. Most tight budgets and tight schedules can be handled easily if the communication between the designer and the client is one step ahead of the work product.”
